ICD 705 Foundations Series

The ICD 705 Foundations Series provides a working understanding of the policies, people, planning, and project realities that shape every SCIF and SAPF project. This eight-module bundle is built for individuals who need to participate confidently in secure facility projects without taking three days off work for a classroom course. Students gain a foundation across the full arc of early-phase ICD 705 work: the policy framework (ICD 705, ICS 705-1 and 705-2, the IC Tech Spec); the types of secure facilities and how they are built; the key stakeholders and their responsibilities (AO, CTTA, SSM, and the broader project team); the analytical risk management process; the principles of Security in Depth; construction security controls; the Construction Security Plan; and the planning and budgeting realities that distinguish secure construction from typical commercial work. About five hours of content across eight modules from 21 to 45 minutes each, accessible at your own pace. By the end of the Series, participants are better prepared to engage confidently in SCIF and SAPF planning, design, construction, and accreditation conversations, recognize how major stakeholders and decision points interact across project phases, and avoid the common misunderstandings that delay secure facility projects.
